Foreign PSL players decided to leave for their countries in doubt of blocked flight operations - Says PCB

With the potent spell of coronavirus in 115 and more countries of the world, many countries have decided to block flight operations with fellow states. PSL V that is going on in Pakistan, is hosting many international players from nations like England, New Zeland, South Africa, and others. PCB sources have revealed that in consideration of the doubt of blocked flight operations with the native countries of these players, many international players have wished to leave for their countries before the ending of the PSL season V.

On the morning of 13th March, PCB announced that any players wanting to go back to their countries are allowed to go. It also announced that local players could also decide whether to play matches on not. This measure has been taken to ensure the safety and health security of athletes participating in the sports venture.

On the evening of 12th March, the government of Sindh announced to conduct audience-free matches in Karachi’s national crocket stadium to avoid rush areas in the city, which has hosted the highest number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan.

So far, ten players and one coach from foreign have decided to go back to their countries. Flights and seat bookings have been completed for them by the PCB officials, says resources.
