The 21 years old emerging young Lady Rabia Shehzad from Pakistan has made the country proud by securing another Gold Sheild in Glasgow open classic Weightlifting championship 2020.
She is the sister of Pakistani badminton champion, Mahnoor Shehzad. She has won gold previously in UK (United Kingdom) and now has made the country proud with her achievements in Scotland.
She is a business student at IBA University Karachi and has high aims towards her future!
She posted on her official Facebook page that she wasn’t at all accompanied to this journey and that she had to bear everything a toll alone. She travelled from Karachi to Manchester (20 hours) and then Manchester to Glasgow (6 hours) all alone. She stated:
“All alone from Karachi to Manchester (in 20 hrs) & then Manchester to Glasgow (in 6 hrs), I have Alhumdulillah been successful in securing a Gold shield in Glasgow Open Classic Weightlifting Championship 2020. Being a girl, travelling & then managing everything during the competition was tough, but it was a challenge for me. I absolutely enjoyed it, though there came a time when I wasn’t able to thrive, Almighty Allah helped!”.
Such talent in Pakistan must be praised and helped, and this is a matter of dignity of our beloved country.
Showbiz Pakistan presents heartiest congratulations to Rabia and wish her many best wishes for her future!
