Actor, host and activist Nadia Jamil announced early on Friday, has revealed that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
The celebrity took to Twitter on April 3 to make the emotional announcement. She said, “last week, I was diagnosed with cancer, and now I’m four days into treatment.”
Nadia Jamil then expressed the series of emotions curdling up inside her ever since she got to know about her condition.
The Balu Mahi actor went on to elaborate on the type of cancer she is fighting, along with the stage it is at. She said, “it’s stage one breast cancer and grade three tumours. Regular self-checks are important ladies! Please act fast if you feel any abnormalities.”
Nadia Jamil then concluded with the public service message, asking women to not ignore the signs their bodies are giving them.
She said, “Don’t ever ignore your body, your health. I now await my surgery date and am feeling positive and love. Please don’t worry and take good care of yourselves.”
