Lockdown due to COVID-19 has undoubtedly brought the creative yet fascinating ideas in each genre, ignoring all the odds over here. The virtual fashion week in Pakistan is one of the best examples of it. It proves that talent has no limits and we can still carry on in life with the positive energy no matter what the situation is. Pakistan’s virtual fashion show had everything to make our quarantine interesting. Our designers did not fail to impress us by creating beautiful dresses that were flaunted stunningly by our gorgeous models.
After London and Shanghai Fashion Week choose to go virtual, our CEO of “Catwalks” events which were once a model, Frieha Altaf planned to join the virtual fashion show named “Catwalk Cares” and mesmerize all of us.
Catwalk Cares lately planned three-days fashion week which highlighted 19 designers and brands that includes: on day one Nida Azwar, Shameel Ansari, Khadi, Huma Adnan, Amin Adnan and Maheen Karim.
On day two very talented Ali Xeeshan, Elan, Asim Jofa, up to trend Generation, Saniya Maskatiya, Ismail Farid and Hussain Rehar. On the third and last day, the Fashion Week will be having everyone’s favorite Sana Safinaz, Sonya Battla, Faraz Manan, very famous Nomi Ansari and Shehla Chatoor. Also, this digital week of fashion was a great source of reunion of our fashion divas.
Frieha Altaf herself broke the news on her Instagram handle by posting:
OFF-STAGE SCENES OF FASHION WEEK
Since fashion shows requires great effort in terms of makeup, hairstyles, styling and all. So the first question arises in our mind was how did the models prepare themselves for this virtual fashion week. Well, no need to get worried over here because our saloon's guru and the owner of famous beauty salon Nabila's Nabila was there to teach our models every tips and tricks on zoom.
Pakistan’s Virtual Fashion Week: Digital Floor
No matter what the situation was Virtual Fashion Week Catwalk did not fail to surprise us through the stunning models, dreamy looks, sophisticated designs, aesthetic shots, androgynous attire, bohemian, glam, funky and chick looks. This beautiful fashion show went live on Har Pal Geo and Cat Walk’s official page on both YouTube and Facebook.
Although it was strenuous to predict the material, embroidery, design, and pattern due to the midst of video quality and print but still this Pakistan’s first virtual fashion week was a WIN-WIN for all of us.
Catwalk Cares set an example of fashion must go on. Here’s what Pakistan’s digital fashion week had to present us:
1. SUMPTUOUS EMBROIDERY:
Catwalk Cares would be incomplete without our famous luxurious designs and how. So, this time our luxurious fashion trend 2020 was highlighted by most of the designers. As shown below:
Ali Xeeshan went with all black lehenga and choli which was full in solid black color and it was beautifully worn by Mushk Kaleem. Ali Xeeshan chose to keep the dress simple yet beautiful with flowy lehenga having vibrant floral embroidery on it along with graceful blouse.
Shehla Chatoor designed this jaw-dropping dress which is one of our favorites now. And the luxurious mask adds more charm to it as it totally goes with the current situation. The magnificent silver blouse was paired with full-length lehenga designed with pink and green blocks.
2. ETHNIC STYLE:
Keeping it traditional and modern is really challenging for our designers. But they always bring the best out no matter what and that’s what they proved in this virtual fashion week as well.
Generation’s new collection “Lootera” is a perfect mixture of cultural yet stylish. And apart from that Generation is always upto trend and never fails to inspire us with it’s updated collection.
3. BRIGHT HUES FOR SUMMERS:
As summers are in and summers always screams for bright hues. No-one goes for dull and boring color colors in summer. As the sun always asks for sparky colors so our designers again didn’t disappoint us with their choice.
As always Elan came up with beautiful ideas with fantastic colors. Yellow and blue always go best together and no one can make it more beautiful other than Elan. She added a little bit of pink embroidery to it and chose Mush Kaleem to present it.
4. TRADITIONAL ATTIRE:
Pakistan fashion week is incomplete without Mirror work as you can consider that mirror really represents our culture. No-one can keep up with the traditional looks along with the trend than Nomi Ansari. He designed black Lehenga and Choli with full of sheesha work. And the model Fouzia Amaan decided to wear it as a saree which looks stunning as well.
5. BOLD AND ELEGANT:
Bold and elegant was the basic theme observed by us throughout the whole Cares walk. But it was the most beautifully done by Shehla Chatoor and especially the mask was eye captivating for us and you know why. We adore the whole look carried by the model. Love the ravishing color of the dress chosen by the designer with the silver work on it and the mask was again gorgeous as well.
These were few of the many beautiful dresses we loved in Pakistan’s digital fashion week. These were really worth our time and we hope that you adore watching these dresses as well. If you want to watch more of it then you can always check out the full fashion show on their Youtube channel.
